Knight

The Knight token from the Double Masters 2022 set was released as part of a premium supplemental product designed to provide players with sought-after reprints and high-quality utility pieces. These tokens serve as essential mechanical aids for cards that create 2/2 white Knight creature tokens with vigilance, such as the Knight-Errant version of Elspeth or various tribal synergies. As a token, its existence is tied strictly to the gameplay mechanics of the cards it accompanies, rather than being a standalone playable card.

The artwork for this specific token was commissioned to align with the refined, high-fantasy aesthetic characteristic of modern Magic: The Gathering sets. Wizards of the Coast maintains an internal art direction team that curates these illustrations to ensure visual consistency across the Double Masters frame. While token artists are often commissioned for their specific flair within the game's broader stylistic requirements, these cards are received primarily by the player base as functional, aesthetic enhancements to their collections during the draft and pack-opening experience.
