Knight

The Knight token, indexed as collector number 4 within the Core Set 2019 token set, was produced by Wizards of the Coast for use in the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. It was designed to represent a 2/2 white creature with the Vigilance keyword, specifically serving as a manifestation of cards that create Knight tokens, such as Leonin Warleader. The token was released in July 2018 as part of the broader Core Set 2019 expansion, which focused on bringing iconic elements of the game back into the standard rotation for both new and veteran players.

The artwork for this token was illustrated by Titus Lunter, who sought to capture the stoic, armored aesthetic traditional to the game's depiction of white-aligned knights. Lunter utilized a clean, high-fantasy style that prioritizes clarity, ensuring players could easily identify the token's stats and mechanics amidst the complexity of the board state. Upon its release, the token was well-received by the community for its functional design and its cohesive integration into the artistic theme of the Core Set 2019 collection.
