Kor Chant

Kor Chant was originally released in the 1997 Tempest set before being reprinted as card number 73 in the 2014 Conspiracy expansion. The Conspiracy set was uniquely designed for a draft-based multiplayer experience, introducing mechanics that allowed players to influence the draft itself. The inclusion of Kor Chant in this set provided a functional, defensive tool for limited play, aligning with the set's focus on shifting game dynamics and political maneuvering.

The card's original artwork was created by Brian Snodgrass, known for his distinct fantasy style during the late 1990s. The design focuses on a Kor figure engaging in a ritualistic or protective stance, fitting the lore of the Kor race, who are traditionally depicted as nomadic, climbing-focused beings from the plane of Rath. While the card is a modest utility piece, it remains a notable example of the early protection mechanics that define white-aligned spells in the game.
