Kor Sky Climber

Kor Sky Climber was originally released as part of the Oath of the Gatewatch set in January 2016. The card was designed to support the Ally synergy mechanic prevalent in the Battle for Zendikar block, reflecting the nomadic, agile nature of the Kor race as they traverse the floating hedrons of their world. Its inclusion in The List, a curated selection of reprints inserted into later expansion boosters, brought the card back into circulation for players looking to bolster white-aligned limited and tribal decks.

The card features artwork by Clint Cearley, whose illustration captures the sky-bound aesthetic of Zendikar with a focus on the Kor's signature rappelling gear. The design emphasizes utility, providing a low-cost creature with a flying ability that can be activated to ensure evasion in combat. While it never rose to prominence in highly competitive constructed formats, it remains a recognized example of the set's mechanical focus on team-based interactions and thematic exploration of Zendikar's landscape.
