Linvala, Shield of Sea Gate was released in 2020 as part of the Zendikar Rising Art Series, a collection of cards featuring full-art illustrations without game text. These cards were included as promotional inserts within set booster packs, designed to highlight the high-fantasy aesthetic of the plane of Zendikar.
