Mana Clash

Mana Clash was originally introduced in the Limited Edition Alpha set in 1993, representing the early experimental phase of Magic: The Gathering. As a card that relies on a coin-flip mechanic to determine damage, it was designed to introduce high-variance, chaotic elements to gameplay, reflecting the game's initial focus on unpredictable magical duels.

The artwork for this version was illustrated by Mark Tedin, whose surreal and often biomechanical style helped define the visual language of the game's earliest years.
