Manaforge Cinder

Manaforge Cinder was released in 2008 as part of the Shadowmoor expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. The set was designed to explore the concept of hybrid mana and the shifting, twilight-themed world of Lorwyn as it transformed into a darker, more volatile landscape. As a hybrid card representing both Red and Black mana, the Cinder was crafted to embody this dual-color identity, functioning as a creature that could be cast using either color of energy to represent the chaotic nature of the set's environment.

The card was illustrated by the artist Dave Allsop, who captured the creature's elemental, fiery form with a jagged aesthetic that complemented the ominous tone of the Shadowmoor block.
