Provenance

Where it came from

Mishra's Factory was originally introduced in the 1994 Antiquities expansion, designed as a utility land that could transform into an assembly-worker creature. This specific version, appearing as card number 302 in the Modern Horizons 2 set, features a stylized, modernized art treatment that pays homage to the industrial, mechanical aesthetic of the original artifacts cycle.

The Modern Horizons 2 rendition was created to bring high-powered, format-defining utility lands into the contemporary card frame while honoring the strategic legacy of the card. The illustration emphasizes the factory's role as a source of endless production within the game's lore, and the release was met with appreciation from competitive players who value the card's versatility and its updated, polished visual identity.
