Mox Jasper // Mox Jasper

The Mox Jasper card originates from the Tarkir: Dragonstorm Art Series, a specialized sub-set released to highlight the illustrative talent behind the Magic: The Gathering expansion. This series was produced to provide players and collectors with high-quality, borderless versions of the set's artwork, prioritizing aesthetic appreciation over competitive gameplay utility. The design philosophy centers on showcasing the intricate world-building of the Tarkir plane, emphasizing the vibrant, crystalline aesthetic associated with this specific Mox variant.

The artwork for this piece was crafted by an artist contracted through the Wizards of the Coast art program, following the established visual identity of the Dragonstorm set. By isolating the illustration from the standard frame, the Art Series cards act as miniature portfolios for the artists involved. Upon release, these items were well-received by the collecting community for their ability to bring tabletop fantasy art to the forefront of the hobby, serving as a distinct departure from the functional constraints of standard card designs.
