Mox Jet

The Mox Jet card from the 30th Anniversary Edition was released in 2022 to commemorate three decades of the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This set was designed as a nostalgic tribute to the original 1993 Limited Edition Alpha release, featuring the iconic power-nine artifacts that helped define the game's early competitive landscape. These cards were produced with a distinct card back and a commemorative frame, distinguishing them from the tournament-legal originals while honoring the aesthetic legacy of the early 1990s.

The original illustration for the Mox Jet, which is replicated in this edition, was created by artist Dan Frazier. His goal was to capture the essence of a powerful, magical artifact that felt grounded in the game's high-fantasy roots. The design was received with immense reverence by the community, as the Moxen represent some of the most sought-after and influential pieces of game history. By reissuing these designs in a collectible format, Wizards of the Coast sought to provide enthusiasts with an accessible way to appreciate the art and history of the set that launched the collectible card game genre.
