Where it came from
Mycoloth first appeared in the Shards of Alara expansion in 2008 before being reprinted as part of the Commander 2015 set. This card belongs to the Jund faction of the Alara plane, a world characterized by a harsh, predatory ecosystem where only the strongest survive. The creature represents the symbiotic and parasitic nature of the region's flora and fauna, functioning mechanically to create an ever-growing army of Saproling tokens by consuming other creatures.
