What it does
Each creature card in your graveyard has embalm. Its embalm cost is equal to its mana cost. (Exile a creature card from your graveyard and pay its embalm cost: Create a token that's a copy of it, except it's a white Zombie in addition to its other types with no mana cost. Embalm only as a sorcery.)
Whenever chaos ensues, you may discard a card. If you do, draw a card.

Where it came from
Naktamun, depicted as a land card in the March of the Machine Commander set, commemorates the fallen desert city from the plane of Amonkhet. The card was designed to evoke the tragic history of the city, which was once a beacon of civilization before being corrupted by the schemes of the Elder Dragon Nicol Bolas. Its inclusion in this specific set serves as a narrative touchstone, reflecting the multiverse-wide conflict during the Phyrexian invasion where various planes, including Amonkhet, fought for their survival.
The artistic direction for this piece emphasizes the haunting, sun-bleached aesthetic of the city's architecture and the lingering desolation of its post-invasion landscape. Illustrators working on the March of the Machine series were tasked with maintaining visual continuity with previous depictions of the plane while highlighting the scale of the devastation. The card was well-received by players for its ability to integrate thematic resonance with functional gameplay, effectively serving as a flavorful representation of the plane's resilience.
