Provenance

Where it came from

The Ninjas front card, numbered 14, was released as part of the Foundations Jumpstart set for Magic: The Gathering. These cards serve as thematic identifiers for the 20-card packs used in the Jumpstart format, a deck-building experience designed to allow players to begin games immediately by shuffling two packs together. The card represents the Ninja archetype, a long-standing faction within the game's lore known for mechanics involving unblockable attacks and returning creatures to hand.

The design of this front card draws upon the aesthetic traditions established during the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty expansion, which revitalized the Ninja creature type. The illustration emphasizes the sleek, cybernetic, and shadowy motif synonymous with the modern iteration of the faction. As a functional component of the Jumpstart experience, it is intended to provide players with a clear visual marker for the deck's intended synergy and gameplay strategy.
