Nissa, Ascended Animist // Nissa, Ascended Animist

The Phyrexia: All Will Be One Art Series was released in 2023 as a companion to the core set of the same name. This series was designed to showcase the intricate, high-fantasy illustrations commissioned for the expansion, which centered on the dark, biomechanical transformation of the Magic: The Gathering multiverse. The cards were distributed in collector boosters, serving as a celebration of the creative team’s ability to merge organic naturalism with the cold, metallic aesthetic of the Phyrexians.

This specific entry features the art of Nissa, Ascended Animist, a planeswalker character central to the set's narrative of corruption and rebirth. The illustration focuses on her altered state, balancing her traditional affinity for nature with the harsh, Phyrexian influence present in the storyline. The art series cards were designed for enthusiasts and collectors, prioritizing the visual presentation of the original digital or traditional paintings without the clutter of standard game mechanics.
