Oversold Cemetery

Oversold Cemetery was originally introduced in the Onslaught expansion of Magic: The Gathering in 2002. Designed as a rare enchantment, it was crafted to provide black-aligned decks with a repeatable resource recovery engine, allowing players to return creatures from their graveyard to their hand at a relatively low mana cost if they maintained a sufficient creature count in their graveyard.

The 2022 Jumpstart printing, featuring art by David Gaillet, updates the visual presentation of the card while maintaining its functional role within the game's ecosystem. The design leans into the thematic aesthetic of traditional necromancy, portraying a weathered graveyard scene that reinforces its mechanical utility as a tool for attrition and long-term battlefield presence.
