Piety Charm

The Piety Charm was released in 2002 as part of the Onslaught expansion set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, the Onslaught block emphasized a return to creature-centric gameplay and tribal synergies, marking a shift toward more complex board states compared to the preceding Odyssey block. The Charm cycle, consisting of instant-speed spells with three versatile modes, was designed to provide players with tactical utility that could adapt to the rapidly changing dynamics of the mid-game.

The artwork for the Piety Charm was illustrated by Greg Staples, a prolific contributor to the game who is known for his atmospheric and moody painterly style.
