Psychosis Crawler // Psychosis Crawler

Psychosis Crawler was originally introduced to the Magic: The Gathering card game in the 2011 set Scars of Mirrodin. The Brothers' War Art Series card featured here is part of a specialized line of promotional cards released in 2022, designed to highlight the high-fidelity illustrations of the set. These cards are non-playable in standard tournament formats, serving instead as art objects intended for collectors to appreciate the intricate mechanical and horror-themed aesthetics of the Phyrexian influence within the game's lore.

The artwork for this specific iteration emphasizes the grotesque, biomechanical design of the creature, a hallmark of the Phyrexian faction within the Magic multiverse. By featuring this card in The Brothers' War Art Series, the designers aimed to bridge the gap between the game's historical narrative arcs and its visual identity, allowing players to view the card as a standalone piece of dark fantasy illustration rather than merely a game piece.
