Renewed Faith

Renewed Faith is a white sorcery card originally featured in the Onslaught expansion of the Magic: The Gathering trading card game in 2002. This specific printing originates from the 2003 World Championship Decks, a product line designed to allow players to purchase exact replicas of the decks used by the top eight finishers at the Magic: The Gathering World Championships. These cards are distinguished from standard game pieces by their gold-bordered frames and the signature of the player who utilized them in the tournament.

The card was illustrated by Greg Staples, whose work often captures a sense of ethereal movement and spiritual grace fitting for the card's theme of healing and cycling. The design team created Renewed Faith as a versatile utility card, allowing players to either gain life or cycle the card to draw a new one, a mechanic that provided much-needed flexibility for control decks of that era. Within the context of the 2003 World Championship decks, it served as a reliable defensive tool for competitors navigating the high-stakes environment of professional tournament play.
