Resolute Reinforcements // Resolute Reinforcements

Resolute Reinforcements was released as part of the Dominaria United Art Series in 2022. This set was introduced by Wizards of the Coast to showcase the full-art illustrations from the standard Dominaria United expansion, effectively acting as high-quality, collectible art prints that occupy the space usually reserved for tokens in Magic: The Gathering booster packs. The series emphasizes the shift in the game's aesthetic, where digital and traditional painting techniques are blended to depict the rich, high-fantasy lore of the Dominarian plane.

The artwork for this specific card, illustrating a group of rallying Benalish soldiers, captures the heroic and defensive motifs prevalent in the set's white-mana color identity. The illustration was designed to evoke the scale and desperation of the Phyrexian invasion, a central narrative arc in the story. These Art Series cards are highly regarded by collectors for their clean, textless presentation, which allows the viewer to focus entirely on the composition and color palette of the individual artist’s vision without the clutter of gameplay mechanics.
