Vesuvan Duplimancy // Vesuvan Duplimancy

Vesuvan Duplimancy was introduced in the Dominaria United Art Series, a promotional set released in 2022 to coincide with the main expansion. These cards were distributed primarily in Set Boosters, designed as high-quality, frame-less art prints that highlight the illustrative talent behind Magic: The Gathering. The cards serve as a tribute to the visual world-building of the Dominaria setting, allowing players and collectors to appreciate the detailed work of the franchise's commissioned artists without the standard game borders or text boxes.

The art featured on this specific card was created by artist Joshua Raphael. In conceptualizing the piece, the artist was tasked with capturing the essence of Vesuvan transformation and magical mimicry. The design emphasizes fluid, ethereal forms that evoke the shifting, deceptive nature of the Duplimancy spell. Within the community, these Art Series cards are valued for their immersive aesthetic, often serving as a bridge between high-fantasy gaming collectibles and traditional card art portfolios.
