Restless Prairie // Restless Prairie

Restless Prairie was released as part of the Art Series for The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, a 2023 expansion for Magic: The Gathering. These cards were specifically produced as collectible, frame-less art cards, designed to highlight the aesthetic work commissioned for the set’s land cycle. The series was released in booster packs to provide players and collectors with high-quality representations of the game's landscape illustrations, emphasizing the vibrant, prehistoric-inspired world-building that defines the Ixalan plane.

The artwork for this piece was created by artist Alayna Danner, whose contribution captures the sweeping, untamed vistas central to the set's thematic identity. Danner’s design focuses on atmospheric lighting and geological scale, aiming to evoke a sense of exploration and ancient mystery. Upon its release, the card was well-received by the community for its clarity and the high-quality card stock used, solidifying its place as a popular choice for collectors interested in the artistic evolution of the game's lands.
