Rogue's Passage

Rogue's Passage was originally introduced in the Magic: The Gathering set Magic 2013, designed as a utility land that provides a tactical advantage by rendering a target creature unblockable. Within the context of the Zendikar Rising Commander set, this card was reprinted as part of a supplementary product designed to support the Commander format, which emphasizes multiplayer strategy and board presence. Its inclusion in this set allowed players to access a functional piece of deck-building support that integrates seamlessly into various color combinations.

The card’s visual design focuses on the aesthetic of an underworld shortcut, reflecting the flavor of a clandestine route used by thieves and assassins to bypass defensive lines. The artwork serves the card’s mechanical purpose, reinforcing the concept of infiltration through shadow and terrain. It has been well received by the player community as a staple inclusion for aggressive decks, particularly those relying on Commander damage, due to its ability to force through combat damage without requiring specific color alignment.
