Where it came from
Rugged Prairie was released in 2008 as part of the Eventide set, the second expansion in the Shadowmoor block for Magic: The Gathering. The card belongs to a cycle of enemy-colored filter lands, designed to provide flexible mana fixing for multi-colored decks by allowing players to convert one mana of either color into a combination of both.
