Rustvale Bridge // Rustvale Bridge

The Rustvale Bridge card from the Modern Horizons 2 Art Series was released in 2021 as part of a specialized subset of cards designed to highlight the illustrative talent behind the game's world-building. These cards were produced as collectible art pieces without game text, focusing entirely on the visual representation of the setting. The series was created to celebrate the aesthetic depth of the expansion, allowing players and collectors to appreciate the detailed landscapes and environments that typically serve as the background for competitive play.

The illustration for Rustvale Bridge was created by artist Alayna Danner. Her design for this piece focuses on a serene yet weathered landscape, emphasizing the architectural decay and natural overgrowth that define the location within the game's lore. The art was well-received by the community for its evocative lighting and atmospheric composition, which effectively captured the melancholy beauty of the Modern Horizons 2 aesthetic. It stands as a notable example of the high-fantasy landscape art commissioned for the set.
