Search the Premises // Search the Premises

Search the Premises was originally released as a card in the Modern Horizons 2 set in 2021, featuring art commissioned specifically for the set's accompanying Art Series. The Art Series cards are non-game pieces designed to showcase the expanded, borderless illustrations created for the expansion, allowing players and collectors to appreciate the detailed work of Magic: The Gathering illustrators in a clean, landscape format.

The illustration was crafted by artist Lie Setiawan, who utilized a distinct, atmospheric style to capture the inquisitive nature of the card's effect. Within the context of the game, the art depicts a scene of investigative tension, fitting the white-aligned taxing mechanic of the card. Upon the release of Modern Horizons 2, these art cards became sought-after curiosities, prized by those who value the intersection of fantasy illustration and high-quality print production.
