Where it came from
Sami, Wildcat Captain was released as part of the Edge of Eternities Promos set, a collection of promotional cards distributed to support the game's organized play circuit. These cards were designed to reward players for participation in local tournaments and game store events, serving as both a functional addition to gameplay and a collectible milestone for dedicated members of the community.
The card features artwork that emphasizes the bold, adventurous aesthetic characteristic of the set's broader fantasy world. Illustrators for this series aimed to evoke a sense of kinetic energy and leadership, crafting a visual identity for Sami that reflects her role as a captain. The card was well-received by the player base for its distinct card frame and its utility within specific deck archetypes during that era of the game.
