Sanctuary Warden // Sanctuary Warden

Sanctuary Warden was released in 2022 as part of the Streets of New Capenna Art Series, a specialty set featuring high-quality, borderless reproductions of original illustrations from the New Capenna expansion. These cards were designed to highlight the artistic contributions of the game's illustrators, presenting the artwork without the standard text boxes or frame elements that typically obscure the canvas in traditional gameplay cards.

The original illustration for Sanctuary Warden was created by artist Fajareka Setiawan, who drew inspiration from the art deco and noir aesthetics defining the plane of New Capenna. The piece aims to capture the stoic, divine nature of the character while incorporating the gilded, geometric motifs central to the setting's lore. Upon its release, the art series was well-received by collectors who sought to appreciate the technical skill and thematic depth of the digital paintings produced for the game.
