Where it came from
Scale the Heights was released in 2022 as part of the Jumpstart 2022 set, a product line designed to facilitate quick, accessible gameplay by allowing players to combine two pre-constructed packs into a ready-to-play deck. The card is a green sorcery that offers both ramp and card selection, reflecting the set's intent to provide functional, balanced tools for limited-style environments while maintaining the high-fantasy aesthetic characteristic of the Magic: The Gathering universe.
The card features artwork by the illustrator Volkan Baga, whose work is frequently featured across various Magic sets. Baga’s design for this piece focuses on the sense of scale and adventure typical of green-aligned cards in the game, emphasizing natural majesty and the mechanical themes of growth and exploration inherent in the spell's effect. It was well-received by players for its utility in casual formats, serving as a reliable role-player in land-heavy strategies.
