Silent Clearing // Silent Clearing

Silent Clearing was originally released as part of the Modern Horizons set in 2019, introducing a cycle of dual lands that provide players with flexible mana utility by allowing them to draw cards at the cost of life. This particular item originates from the Modern Horizons Art Series, a specialty sub-collection designed to showcase the expanded, borderless illustrations of cards from the set. These cards were distributed as promotional collectibles to highlight the aesthetic depth of the game's world-building.

The artwork for this card was rendered by artist Jung Park. Tasked with depicting the eerie, quiet nature of a magical landscape, Park employed a muted color palette and soft lighting to evoke a sense of solitude and transition. Within the Magic: The Gathering community, the piece is recognized for its atmospheric composition and minimalist approach, often cited by collectors as a standout example of how landscape art can define the mood of a game's setting.
