Soul of Zendikar

Soul of Zendikar was originally released in the 2014 Magic: The Gathering core set, Magic 2015. It represents one of the six Mythic Rare avatars tied to the game's iconic planes, serving as a powerful creature that offers both a strong board presence and a way to generate tokens to clog the battlefield. The design, illustrated by Aleksi Briclot, emphasizes the raw, chaotic energy of the Zendikar plane, depicted through sweeping, earthen visuals that evoke the landscape's famous roil and turbulence.

This specific printing originates from The List, a curated selection of reprints included in Set Boosters that allows players to discover classic cards from throughout the game's history. By including it in The List, Wizards of the Coast allowed the card to circulate in modern drafting environments, maintaining its relevance for players who appreciate the tactical utility of its activated ability. It remains a recognizable piece of the M15 cycle, appreciated for its thematic adherence to the world-building established in the original Zendikar block.
