Where it came from
Stick Together was released in 2022 as part of the Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate expansion, a set designed to blend the mechanics of Magic: The Gathering with the lore and characters of Dungeons & Dragons. The card serves as a board wipe specifically tuned for the Commander format, intended to help players clear the board of non-artifact, non-enchantment creatures while leaving key game pieces intact, reflecting the cooperative and chaotic spirit of tabletop RPG sessions.
The card was illustrated by Wisnu Tan, who utilized a clean, illustrative style to depict a sense of unity and tactical synergy. The design goal was to provide a functional tool for white-aligned decks in the popular tribal and token-heavy archetypes of the format. Upon its release, it was noted by the community as a strategic staple for decks centered around specific creature types, offering a tailored answer to creature-heavy board states while maintaining the thematic resonance of the Baldur's Gate setting.
