Swamp // Swamp

The Phyrexia: All Will Be One Art Series was released in 2023 as a companion to the core set of the same name. These cards were designed to highlight the aesthetic depth of the set, featuring high-resolution, borderless artwork that showcases the biomechanical horror of the Phyrexians. This specific Swamp card draws from the dark, oil-slicked landscape of New Phyrexia, reflecting the visual motif of the plane as it is subsumed by the corruption of the machine orthodoxy.

The illustration was created to lean into the set's distinct body-horror influence, emphasizing metallic textures and an unsettling color palette of dark purples and greens. As part of the Art Series, these cards do not function as standard gameplay assets but instead serve as collector pieces meant to celebrate the illustrative talent commissioned by Wizards of the Coast. They were well-received by fans of the game's lore who sought a more immersive look at the environment's transformation during the Phyrexian invasion.
