What it does
Instant, sorcery, and Dragon spells you control can't be countered.
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell from your hand, if Taigam attacked this turn, that spell gains rebound. (Exile the spell as it resolves. At the beginning of your next upkeep, you may cast that card from exile without paying its mana cost.)

Where it came from
Taigam, Ojutai Master was originally introduced in the Magic: The Gathering set Khans of Tarkir, representing a powerful human monk who defected to the dragonlord Ojutai. This specific iteration, printed as part of the Multiverse Legends bonus sheet in the March of the Machine expansion, features the distinct, stylized aesthetic associated with the Tarkir plane's dragon-worshipping culture. The design focuses on Taigam’s mastery of rebound and spell-copying mechanics, reflecting his narrative role as a scholarly but formidable strategist.
The artwork for this particular card highlights the visual language established for the Ojutai school, emphasizing flowing robes and draconic motifs. When released as a Multiverse Legend, the card was updated with a unique frame treatment that distinguishes it from his original printing. It was received by the player base as a significant utility commander, celebrated for both its thematic adherence to the lore of Tarkir and its mechanical complexity within the blue-white color identity.
