What it does
Flurry — Whenever you cast your second spell each turn, copy it, then exile the spell you cast with four time counters on it. If it doesn't have suspend, it gains suspend. (At the beginning of its owner's upkeep, they remove a time counter. When the last is removed, they may play it without paying its mana cost. If it's a creature, it has haste.)

Where it came from
Taigam, Master Opportunist was released as part of the 2017 Magic: The Gathering set Commander 2017, specifically tied to the Draconic Domination deck. The character of Taigam originated in the Tarkir block as a prominent student of the Jeskai Way who eventually defected to the dragon-worshiping Silumgar clan. His design reflects this transition, emphasizing a mechanically complex playstyle that rewards patience and opportunistic spellcasting.
The card illustration was crafted by artist Magali Villeneuve, a celebrated figure in the fantasy art community known for her elegant and atmospheric style. Villeneuve sought to capture Taigam’s calculated, scholarly nature while highlighting his new affiliation with the ruthless Silumgar brood. Upon its release, the card was well-received by players for its unique ability to weaponize the stack, cementing Taigam’s legacy as one of the most mechanically distinct characters to emerge from the Tarkir narrative arc.
