Where it came from
Tataru Taru, card number 466 in the Final Fantasy Commander set, originates from a fan-designed expansion project inspired by the expansive lore of Final Fantasy XIV. The card was created to provide a localized, tabletop-style mechanical identity for one of the most recognizable non-player characters in the franchise, reflecting her evolution from a humble Scion of the Seventh Dawn to the master of logistical and mercantile operations.
The visual design draws heavily from established character art from the game, emphasizing Tataru's iconic attire and administrative role. Collectors often appreciate the card for its faithful representation of her character arc, aiming to capture the essence of her resourcefulness rather than traditional combat prowess. It remains a niche item, valued primarily by enthusiasts of the broader Final Fantasy trading card community who enjoy fan-curated expansions of the game’s universe.
