Where it came from
Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset was released as part of the Innistrad: Midnight Hunt set in late 2021, serving as a planeswalker card that represents the iconic character Teferi during his research into the unnatural eternal night plaguing the plane of Innistrad. The design reflects the character's ability to manipulate time, featuring mechanics that untap permanents and filter the library, positioning him as a versatile utility card in control-oriented strategies.
The promotional variant, collector number 245p, showcases distinct borderless artwork created by illustrator Aleksi Briclot. Briclot, a veteran artist for the game, opted for a dramatic, moody aesthetic that aligns with the gothic horror themes of the Innistrad setting. Upon release, the card was well-received by players for both its strategic utility in various formats and its evocative visual representation of the set's central narrative arc.
