Temple of Silence

Temple of Silence was originally introduced in the Theros expansion as part of a cycle of lands known as the Temples. These lands were designed to provide players with color-fixing utility by allowing them to scry upon entering the battlefield, reflecting the tranquil yet divine atmosphere of the Theros plane. The card was later reprinted in the Phyrexia: All Will Be One Commander set, featuring new art that adapted the aesthetic to fit the biomechanical and haunting themes of New Phyrexia.

The illustration for this iteration was crafted by artist Wisnu Tan. In this version, the serene architecture of the original temple is reimagined through the lens of the Phyrexians, blending classical structural forms with the harsh, metallic, and organic elements characteristic of the plane. Upon its release in the Commander product line, the card was received as a functional staple for decks utilizing both white and black mana, valued for its ability to smooth out draws while maintaining the necessary mana base for multicolored strategies.
