Where it came from
Tempt with Bunnies was originally printed as part of the Commander 2013 release, an annual expansion for Magic: The Gathering designed to support the popular multiplayer Commander format. The card belongs to a cycle of 'Tempting Offer' spells, which introduced a unique political mechanic where the caster gains an immediate effect, and each opponent is given the opportunity to copy that effect for themselves in exchange for providing the caster with additional resources.
The card was later included in 'The List', a curated selection of reprints integrated into Set Boosters starting in 2020. This initiative was designed by Wizards of the Coast to provide players with access to older, harder-to-find cards while adding an element of discovery to standard booster pack openings. The design, featuring whimsical, creature-focused artwork, reflects the lighthearted and socially interactive nature of Commander gameplay that the card was specifically crafted to encourage.
