Where it came from
Tempt with Bunnies was released in 2024 as part of the Bloomburrow Commander set, a collection themed around a whimsical, anthropomorphic woodland world. The card serves as a thematic continuation of the 'Tempting Offer' cycle, mechanics designed to introduce group-hug dynamics into multiplayer games by allowing opponents to choose whether to participate in the spell's effect for a personal benefit, effectively balancing risk and reward.
The illustration was created by artist Alix Branwyn, who captured the idyllic, rustic aesthetic central to the Bloomburrow setting. By depicting small, charming rabbits engaging in the harvest, the design leans into the plane's 'cottagecore' inspirations. It was well-received by players for its ability to integrate the popular rabbit tribal archetype with the interactive social politics that define the Commander format.
