What it does
(U/P symbol can be paid with either blue mana or 2 life.)
Draw two cards, then proliferate. (Choose any number of permanents and/or players, then give each another counter of each kind already there.)
Despite all the differences between the Edge and the Multiverse, people still spoke the language of greed.

Where it came from
Tezzeret's Gambit was originally released in the New Phyrexia set in 2011, functioning as a narrative card that showcases the character Tezzeret acting as an agent for the Phyrexians. The card utilizes the 'proliferate' mechanic, which aligns with the Phyrexian theme of spreading corruption and mutation across the multiverse. The version featured in the Edge of Eternities Commander set serves as a reprint, maintaining the card's utility in artifact-centric and counter-focused strategies within the Commander format.
The original illustration was created by Aleksi Briclot, a veteran Magic: The Gathering artist known for his distinct, high-fantasy aesthetic. The art depicts Tezzeret manipulating magical energy, reflecting his status as a sophisticated, cold-calculated planeswalker. Upon its debut, the card was well-received by players for its efficiency as both a draw spell and a means to advance board states, leading to its enduring presence in various blue-aligned decks over the last decade.
