Provenance

Where it came from

The Faction Dragon (MZ03a) originates from a specialized promotional set released during an undocumented event, likely as a limited-edition giveaway or tournament reward. These promotional cards were typically distributed to foster community engagement during live events, serving as unique identifiers for participants or supporters of the brand during that period.

The design follows the illustrative style characteristic of fantasy-themed gaming assets from the era, emphasizing high-contrast mythical imagery intended to evoke a sense of rare power. While the specific artist is not credited, the composition relies on classic iconography designed to stand out in a collection, and it was received by hobbyists primarily as a niche curiosity rather than a staple of competitive play.
