Where it came from
The 2020 Heroes of the Realm card series is a private, non-commercial set produced by Wizards of the Coast as a way to honor employees who made exceptional contributions to the company throughout the year. The set is not available for retail purchase, and cards are gifted exclusively to staff members, making them rare artifacts of corporate culture within the gaming industry.
This specific item, identified as card number 3 in the 2020 cycle, was designed with unique, often thematic abilities that reflect the collaborative nature of the development team. The aesthetic approach for the series typically emphasizes a celebratory, exclusive feel, utilizing distinct art direction that differentiates these cards from standard Magic: The Gathering sets. Because of their limited distribution and the personal nature of their creation, these cards are highly regarded by enthusiasts for their historical significance within the internal narrative of the game's development.
