Trip Noose

Trip Noose was first introduced to the Magic: The Gathering trading card game in the 2010 expansion Duel Decks: Elspeth vs. Tezzeret. This specialized product was designed as a preconstructed battlefield representing the philosophical and physical conflict between the white-aligned Planeswalker Elspeth Tirel and the blue-aligned artificer Tezzeret. The card was included to provide players with a colorless artifact utility tool, fitting the mechanical theme of the set by allowing players to tap down troublesome creatures during the game.

The artwork for Trip Noose was commissioned from illustrator Randy Gallegos, whose style often leans into atmospheric, gritty depictions of fantasy machinery.
