Triskelavus was originally introduced in the 2006 Magic: The Gathering set Time Spiral. Designed as a mechanical homage to the classic card Triskelion, it was intended to evoke the high-complexity, artifact-heavy themes of the Urza block era while providing a versatile, modular threat for mid-game board control through its ability to create token copies of itself.
