Tsunami

Tsunami was released in 1994 as part of the Summer Magic set, often referred to by collectors as Edgar. This set was intended to be a corrected reprint of Revised Edition, designed to fix various errors such as misprints and artwork inconsistencies. Due to a series of internal production errors, the majority of the Summer Magic print run was destroyed, making the few surviving cards rare and highly sought after by those who appreciate the tumultuous history of early Magic: The Gathering development.

The card features artwork by Richard Thomas, one of the original artists who defined the aesthetic of the early game. His illustration for Tsunami captures the raw, elemental force of the sorcery, using a stark and moody style that aligns with the grim, high-fantasy tone prevalent in the game's initial sets.
