Tyvar's Stand // Tyvar's Stand

Tyvar's Stand was released in 2023 as part of the Phyrexia: All Will Be One set. It is a green instant spell that reflects the themes of the Phyrexian invasion, allowing a creature to gain indestructible and hexproof. The Art Series cards within this set were created to showcase the high-fidelity, borderless illustrations commissioned for the expansion, intended to provide collectors with a focused look at the work of individual artists outside of the standard frame used for game play.

The illustration for this specific card was created by artist Fajareka Setiawan. Setiawan’s design captures the intensity of the character Tyvar Kell, a planeswalker known for his affinity with the earth and his stoic resolve. The artwork emphasizes a cinematic, close-up perspective, aligning with Wizards of the Coast’s broader effort to deepen the visual storytelling of the Phyrexian narrative through distinct artistic styles.
