What it does
Target creature you control gets +X/+X and gains hexproof and indestructible until end of turn. (It can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control. Damage and effects that say "destroy" don't destroy it.)
"When they write songs about this battle, I will make sure your name is forgotten, devil."

Where it came from
Tyvar's Stand is a powerful instant spell featured in the March of the Machine: The Aftermath set, released in 2023. The card depicts Tyvar Kell, a planeswalker from the plane of Kaldheim, utilizing his signature earth-manipulating magic to provide both indestructible protection and a significant power boost to a creature. This card is part of a series designed to highlight the aftermath of the Phyrexian invasion of the Multiverse, focusing on key characters adapting to their changed reality.
The artwork for the card was created by artist Fajareka Setiawan, who captured the stoic and rugged aesthetic associated with Tyvar Kell. The design reflects the character's thematic identity, blending defensive utility with an aggressive potential that makes it a versatile tool in green-based decks. Upon its release, the card was widely recognized within the Magic: The Gathering community for its efficiency and flexibility, quickly becoming a staple in Commander formats for players looking to protect their key threats while simultaneously pushing for lethal damage.
