Where it came from
Unfinished Business was released in 2023 as part of the Wilds of Eldraine Commander set, a collection themed around the Arthurian-inspired fairy tale plane of Eldraine. The card serves as a thematic continuation of the set's focus on enchantment-synergy and graveyard recursion, mechanics that define the high-fantasy aesthetic of this specific plane.
The card was illustrated by Daria Rashev, whose work captures the haunting, ethereal nature of the spell as it resurrects creatures from the graveyard. It was designed to provide players with a powerful recovery tool that rewards the strategic use of enchantments, reflecting the set's mechanical emphasis on the intersection between life and death magic within the lore of Eldraine.
