Utopia Tree

Utopia Tree was first printed in the Invasion expansion in 2000, serving as a tactical ramp card that allowed players to produce any color of mana. Its inclusion in the 2005 Ninth Edition core set marked a return for the creature, which was designed to help players navigate the multicolored environments common in that era of Magic: The Gathering. The card represents a core mechanical archetype known as a mana dork, providing consistent resource acceleration at a low cost.

The artwork for the Ninth Edition printing was rendered by Gary Ruddell, who utilized a distinct, dreamlike aesthetic that leaned into the 'Utopia' concept of the card's name.
