Village Reavers // Village Reavers

Village Reavers is a card from the Midnight Hunt Art Series, released by Wizards of the Coast in 2021 as a promotional accompaniment to the Magic: The Gathering expansion set Innistrad: Midnight Hunt. This series was designed to showcase the expanded, borderless artwork of cards from the main set on a larger, premium-finish card format, allowing players and collectors to appreciate the detailed illustrations without the game text overlapping the visuals.

The artwork for this piece was created by artist Igor Kieryluk, whose contribution helps define the gothic horror atmosphere synonymous with the Innistrad plane. The piece depicts the frantic energy of the werewolf theme central to the set, utilizing dark, moody palettes and dynamic brushwork to evoke the chaos of a midnight hunt. As part of the Art Series, this item was distributed in specialized booster packs and is primarily valued by collectors for its aesthetic focus on the game’s world-building rather than its utility in competitive play.
